Storytellers needed.
Ever since Eve told Adam the story about the apple and the serpent, we have paid attention to storytellers. We listen better and learn more when we hear stories. Develop this skill and win. There are certain skills in great storytelling. Learn them.
High energy
This may be a work ethic mentality or a caffeineinduced edginess. I cannot recall one entrepreneur who appears sluggish or lethargic. What?s even more apparent is that they are NOT energy suckers, but energy creators.
Just stay in business
Too many new companies flame out, just like the after-burner on some supersonic jet. The pilot kicks in the after-burner for an added jolt of power, but once it happens, that?s it, no more power. If you can just continue your new business, first year to the second year, then to the third year?chances are great that you will make it. Do whatever it takes to make it to that third year. Don?t flame out.

How To Be More Likeable
Have you wondered why your co-worker was picked for that promotion over you and you both have exactly the same skills? It is simple: he or she was MORE LIKEABLE. Is it possible to change?
|
If you are a parent, you are trying to raise the best possible child you can. We know that. You are trying, teaching him or her
manners, making him study, mentoring and modeling good behavior.
So, why not spend $4.95 on a little e book about the subject no one talks about... HOW TO BE MORE LIKEABLE.
You may well know all the ideas, but what if you don't. What if there is ONLY one idea that you can use with your own child that makes him more likeable?
To a large measure, your likeability will lead to success or failure. It often trumps skill levels in surveys of HR people who are asked to name the most important characteristic of job candidates and employees.
Other than "don't be an asshole" what can you do to increase your own likeability? Is it really possible to change?
Or, do you believe your likeability has been set by some cosmic forces, and that if people don't like you as you are, so what?
BTW, being rich or good looking is not on the list.
Here are ten characteristics of likeable people, who can pass the no-asshole test, or the always reliable would-you-fly-across-the-country-with-them test. So, no matter if you are job searching or just managing lifelong skill development, this article is for you.
